Compared with Flash Builder 4 Beta 2, Flash Builder 4 release has many changes, we should pay much attention to them when upgrade the old application.
- Based on Eclipse 3.5.1, JRE upgrade to 1.6;
- Use a new generation of Adobe Community Help, support work offline;
- Support the new Adobe Flash CS5 projects;
- Connect the data/services include XML;
- Source code will include the data model file when export the application using the Data Centric Development;
- Coding assistance is available in custom itemRederer.
Here are some changes Flex SDK 4 release comparing to Flex SDK 4 Beta 2:
- Change the namespace from xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo" to xmlns:mx="library: //ns.adobe.com/flex/mx";
- Add new Flex 4 graphics and CSS themes;
- Add new AIR themes;
- Flex and AIR Automation APIs are now open source;
- Includes OSMF as open source;
- Data Visualization Components (Chart and AdvancedDateGrid) are now open source.
